Programmable relay for the INCOFON signalling device – development and implementation<\/h1>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row rt_row_background_width=”default” rt_row_style=”default-style” rt_row_borders=”” rt_grid=”true” rt_row_paddings=”true” rt_bg_effect=”classic” rt_bg_image_repeat=”repeat” rt_bg_size=”cover” rt_bg_position=”right top” rt_bg_attachment=”scroll” rt_bg_video_format=”self-hosted”][vc_column rt_bg_image_repeat=”repeat” rt_bg_size=”auto auto” rt_bg_attachment=”scroll”][vc_column_text css_animation=”left-to-right”]The\u00a0INCOFON<\/strong>\u00a0signalling device’s task is to send acoustic and light signals during the ship’s cruise in order to inform about course direction change, sending Morse-alphabet coded messages or warning signals in case of limited visibility. These signs may be sent manually or automatically, in accordance with one of few predefined schemes.\u00a0INCOFON<\/strong>, or its’ equivalent is present in nearly every ship sailing in the world.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”4130″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image” css_animation=”right-to-left”][vc_column_text css_animation=”left-to-right”]The device has been made in a way, that allows the user to program some predefined, frequently used, or especially important sequences (like ‘SOS’ for instance) and activate them by pressing a single button. Responsible for this function is the\u00a0SMUN-1<\/strong>\u00a0module. This part of the system is based on cams and switches, similar to those mostly found in old automatic washing mashines. This part of the system, which is 100% mechanical, after long years of constant usage has literally worn out. It appeared necessary to replace it with a new one. MAREL SERWIS company has come to the conclusion that it would be pointless to copy the old\u00a0SMUN-1<\/strong>\u00a0module due to it’s mechanical nature, which has an effect on a device’s limited lifetime.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner rt_row_style=”global-style”][vc_column_inner rt_bg_image_repeat=”repeat” rt_bg_size=”auto auto” rt_bg_attachment=”scroll”][vc_single_image image=”4131″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image” css_animation=”right-to-left”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text css_animation=”left-to-right”]Our engineers have developed a project of a whole new structure, that would replace the\u00a0SMUN-1<\/strong>module. In place of the cams a programmable microcontroller has been used.
