Deckma oil content meter — Oil, turbidity and solid particles in a single measurement
The OMD-7 series comprises industrial meters designed to simultaneously measure oil particles, solid particles and water turbidity. It is the first device capable of distinguishing the substances present in the water and reporting results in real time
The set consists of a small measuring cell, a meter with an integrated computer module and display, and an SCU (Sample Conditioning Unit) module, which conditions the samples by giving oil droplets and solid particles a uniform size
The measurement method is based on light scattering — waves of different lengths are analysed by sensors positioned at different angles, which allows the type of contamination to be distinguished. Automatic cleaning of the measuring cell ensures precision even in the harshest operating conditions, and all key parameters can be adjusted from the keypad: measuring range, alarm points for oil, turbidity and solid particles, time delays and cleaning frequency
Typical applications include surface water discharge systems in power plants and engine rooms, installations in the chemical and refining industries, and process water monitoring in the heating and manufacturing industries
