Building a large retail facility requires the electrical works to be tightly coordinated with the overall project schedule. At the IKEA store in Kaarst we were responsible for the electrical installations and the automation of ventilation, air conditioning and drive systems — from fitting out switchgear cabinets to commissioning on site

Scope of works

Installation and connection of the ventilation and air conditioning system
Installation of ventilation and air conditioning controllers
Installation and connection of temperature sensors
Electrical switchboards — fitting out, wiring, connection and commissioning
Automation switchboards — fitting out, wiring, connection and commissioning
Electric motors — installation, connection and commissioning
Motor control system

We fitted out the electrical and automation switchboards with the required apparatus and wiring, then connected and commissioned them directly on site — allowing the installation handover to proceed without downtime

A separate scope covered climate control for the hall: ventilation and air conditioning controllers paired with a network of temperature sensors, tuned together with the drive systems so equipment operation stays stable under the building's variable load
